Founder/Producer LaRenn Maman Elaine (aka Queen Mother Imakhu) is a career broadcaster in AM/FM, online radio and podcasting. Including her years as a columnist and social commentator, she brings her years of cultural wisdom to SHENU Living Network. She is also an African-Diasporic scholar, and initiated as a High Priestess in various African-based faiths. LaRenn Maman was enstooled as a Queen Mother in the Kemetic tradition.

In the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) language, Shenu means "Ancestors, lake, protective circle, empowered speech, opinions, cognitive thought, bringing things full circle."
