Shenu means "full circle,  cartouche, high mysticism, vessels, protectors, to tie together, cognitive thought, Honored Ancestors, reflective lake, Nile Flood. "

 

In Ancient Nile Valley civilization, water was life. People centered most of their spiritual practices, ethical values, lore, and well-being around the ebb and flow of the Nile River. Yet, researchers and contemporary faith practitioners have emphasized honoring the sun. In truth, life in a desert region stops without water.
 
SHENU is the bridge to understanding how ancient Water Spirit beliefs,  African Traditional Religions, Ibrahamic faiths, and modern metaphysics are traced to Khametic origins.  Above all, much like the Japanese term ZEN, it is a reflective practice, but encourages African-based soundness, accountability, ancestral connection, community, and communing with The One Most High through aspects of Nature.

LaRenn Maman Elaine (also known as Queen Mother Imakhu) became immersed in the Khametic mysteries since the 90s. She's been an ordained  Khametic minister,  High Priestess, enstooled Queen Mother, and African Liberation Theologian since the early 2000s. In 2006 she became an initiated Bantu Nganga initiation with African Water Spirituality at its core. This brought her to a richer understanding of her Khametic faith.  LaRenn Maman Elaine began reshaping, codifying and living what evolved into the Shenu practice. She shares her extensive research and experiential wisdom in this book.
